This is of course, the most versatile tablet on the market! The phone features works perfectly fine for me, the data works on 3G and HSPA+ with my At&t sim card from my 5.3 Samsung Galaxy Note.
People do not trust me or website reviewers, conduct your own research! Reviewers said the 5.3 Galaxy Note would be a flop, now they are excited about the Note 2, due to the success of the first Galaxy note. The Note 10.1 tablet really does not have any direct competition, because it the most unique device in the tablet space right now. It does what all others tablet do, plus has an IR blaster, a fully functional cellphone, Wacom input, and some multi-function features that are unmatched. No other tablet solves so many problems. If you are familiar with the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 features, you will recognize many of their perks present in this device out-of-box! Samsung has really stepped up the software in their mobile devices. The screen quality is great this resolution, considering that the Wacom technology can be complex and expensive with higher numbers of pixels. Plus it is higher resolution than most of my televisions, and most videos I would store on the tablet are Not higher than 720p, anyway.
I finally decided to get a tablet because this device is actually useful beyond game and media consumption. I find the Note 10.1 useful in almost every aspect of my life including work, college, and play. I will update you all as the days progress, so far it has been two lovely weeks (can not put it down)! As i have enrolled myself for an executive education programme from IIM, India, i wanted a tablet not only for entertainment but also for work.specifically note taking! I never owned a tablet before and after considering various reviews i zeroed in on ASUS Transformer Infinity, Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 and Google nexus 10.1, Apple Ipad 2 and Samsung Galaxy note 10.1. I prefer having 3G option so that ruled out Asus and Nexus 10.1. finally it boiled down to ipad 2 and Note 10.1. My brother who owns an ipad 2 gave the strong points of ipad and i took him to a dealer to try a demo of 10.1. he was impressed by the S pen functionality, its ease and multitasking ability of the Note 10.1. He said ipad cant match these features. I bought one and boy i love it. it is nearly two weeks now and i am so glad i took this decision of buying samsung galaxy note 10.1.it's brilliant, bright, super fast. Two features stand out - one S Pen feature - i use it for doodling, writing emails, funky comments on family photos and using it like a paper note. It is too good. Its recognition of my handwriting is amazing.now i write my mails rather than typing! The second feature is multitasking - dividing the screen into two halves and minimizing few applications like the video player to any corner of your screen are too good. Reviews say screen res. is not great - i feel you don't need retina displays(even now i keep brightness at 60% only): plastic body creaks they say - it is plastic but it is lighter in weight and i dint find any creaking. the build is solid. Moreover it has - expandable storage and USB connectivity - what else you need. Excellent tablet. 5 Starts - all the way!!
